Echter’s Gives Back

Echter’s has been a pillar of the Arvada community since 1959. Since our inception, we have been committed to building connections and enriching the lives of community members through beauty, knowledge, and kindness. Each year, Echter’s hosts a variety of fundraisers, charitable events, and no-cost learning opportunities to benefit organizations and individuals in need.

Gals Night Out

Join Echter’s each April and November for a party with a purpose! This charitable evening is filled with food and wine sampling, local artist and vendor booths, musical entertainment, and door prizes. Girlfriends Night Out is a ticketed event with all proceeds benefiting Ralston House Child Advocacy Center and Hope House Colorado.

Echter’s Christmas Tree Giveaway

In 2018, Echter’s had a surplus of Christmas Trees going into the week of Christmas. Instead of throwing out the trees, we decided to donate them to families that otherwise couldn’t afford one. The giveaway was a huge success and quickly became a new holiday tradition at Echter’s. We now hold a Christmas tree stand, decorations, and toy drive each November and December to go along with the tree giveaway. Since 2018, we have given away over 350 Christmas trees to families in need.

Holiday Food Drive

Santa Claus visits the garden center for four weekends each year to hear holiday wishes and spread cheer. Visits with Santa are free but we ask that shoppers bring non-perishable food items to support Echter’s Holiday Food Drive. This food drive benefits Arvada’s Community Table, an organization that provides food services, medical care, and other essential services to those in need.

Meet the Experts

Meet the Experts is Echter’s signature gardening class and workshop series. This annual event is free to attend and features educational opportunities from industry experts, plant societies, vendors, growers, and Echter’s staff. Come expand your knowledge and grow with us!

At Echter’s, we feel it is also our responsibility to encourage environmental consciousness and operate with sustainable practices. With a comprehensive internal recycling program and yearly energy reducing updates, we are continuously working to shrink our environmental impact and carbon footprint. Echter’s also provides recycled pot services to customers, allowing individuals to drop off empty plant containers to be reused or recycled.
