Our Roots Grow Deep

Bob and Jim Echter started Echter’s Greenhouse in 1959 as a wholesale carnation business. Sixty plus years and 3 generations later, we are still 100% family owned and operated. As a full-service garden center, we are dedicated to providing the highest quality and largest selection of plants, garden products, and gardening services. We strive to make each of our customers successful by offering superior plant material and unmatched customer service.

The Home-Grown Difference

Echter’s encompasses 15 acres of land, holding over 70,000 square feet of indoor retail space, outdoor nursery and gardens, growing greenhouses, soil making facilities and warehouse space. We offer over 10,000 varieties of plants, many of which are grown on-site, exclusively for Echter’s customers. As a second-generation owner of Echter’s Garden Center, Dave has been rooted in the family business since childhood. His dedication to high-quality plants, sustainable growing practices, and exceptional customer care has helped shape Echter’s into the community landmark it is today.

Jeff Echter, a Western State graduate with a deep love for the outdoors, carries that passion into his work at Echter’s. As part of the third generation, he continues to help grow the family business with energy, expertise, and a true appreciation for nature.

Julie Echter, a graduate of the University of Colorado, is part of the third generation leading Echter’s Garden Center. Passionate about giving back, she has helped grow the company’s community-focused initiatives and charitable events. Outside the garden center, Julie is an avid traveler and adventure seeker who finds her joy in exploring new places, spending time outdoors, and embracing every opportunity to connect with the world around her.
Dan Debell is a valued member of the Echter’s team, known for his strong work ethic, industry knowledge, and customer-first approach. His dependable nature and commitment to excellence help keep the garden center running smoothly.
Joy Knox, a lifelong Arvada local, has spent over 30 seasons growing with Echter’s. Now our Production Manager, she loves planning and selecting the best plants for our customers. Joy enjoys gardening, the outdoors, and spending time with her family, horse, and dogs.
Born and raised in Arvada, Kasaundra joined Echter’s in 2012 and has worn many hats over the years. A Regis University graduate with a Business and Marketing degree, she now leads our office operations and hiring. When she’s off the clock, you’ll find her with family or enjoying a mountain getaway.
